The Journey Girl

The Journey Girl

by Anthony Crowley

PRESENTED BY THE TASMANIAN THEATRE COMPANY & THE FESTIVAL OF VOICES

Sometimes you wonder – sometimes you get lost….
Annie is smart, she has a university degree, she is resourceful, she is bold and unafraid, she has a temporary job in London to go back to – a quick trip around Europe should be easy – shouldn’t it?
She’s survived amorous Italian men and Paris traffic. How could one tiny thing turn this whole trip into a nightmare?

Performed by the much loved Nicole Simms accompanied by the fabulous Amanda Hodder and directed by Kris Stewart, director of the Australian production of Wicked and the Artistic Director of the Festival of Voices, The Journey Girl is the Tasmanian Theatre Company’s first musical and what a terrific musical it is.
With a range of great songs from intimate ballads to big show stoppers, The Journey Girl promises to be nostalgic, familiar, whimsical and funny.
